Boss Key Productions’ LawBreakers, Cliff Bleszinski’s first game since the Gears of War series, could very well release on consoles at some point. However, the port isn’t something the company could handle alone.

Speaking to Destructoid, Bleszinski stated that, “People are like ‘You’re never coming to console,’ and I’m like ‘I never said that’. [Boss Key is] 40 people. Even if we wanted to do a console version, we couldn’t right now.”

Even if Boss Key partners with Sony or Microsoft for a PS4 or Xbox One port, another studio would still be needed for development. “We wouldn’t be able to do the port ourselves. We’d need a really great partner that could knock it out of the park, keep it 60Hz, nail the controls, and make it fantastic.”

As for whether it would work on consoles, Bleszinski mentions a conversation with Epic engineers who pointed to Titanfall’s success on both PC and consoles. “Some of the Epic engineers came over and we had a conversation where I was like ‘Good luck porting this to consoles.’ One of them looked at me and said ‘Titanfall’s crazy wall-jumping, wall-running, and verticality, and that works on PC and console.’

“With the right amount of aim-assist and the right amount of little tricks, I could see it working. I wouldn’t want to do the cross-platform play, though. I don’t think the effort’s worth the outcome there.”

LawBreakers is a free to play shooter and will release sometime in 2016.

Now that Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain has been released onto the world, we’ve heard about a lost cutscenethat was left out of the game for one reason or another. We knew it wouldn’t take long for that particular cutscene to hit somewhere so now someone uploaded it on Youtube. While there are some things that clearly aren’t finished the scene in general seems like one that certainly would have been an interesting idea.

The video is almost 19 minutes long and is a combination of the finished product and some footage that was clearly never completed. Sometimes the cinematic switches from what looks like content that could be put into the game right now, to drawings to just a screen of text that explains what’s going on or will go on from one scene to the next. There is also quite an interesting dichotomy going on between some of the many characters that are front and center in Phantom Pain.

The game has largely been a huge success since it was launched in large part because the game and the story behind it is huge as well. It isn’t clear whether or not the scene was taken out of the game because they were actually not interested in having it in the finished version or because they just didn’t get it done in time. Check out the video below and get a peek in what almost was a part of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain.

Germany is usually pretty harsh when it comes to violent content in video games, censoring excessive gore. However, it will be making an exception with Bethesda Softworks’ Fallout 4 which is releasing uncut in the country.

The news was broken by Fallout’s official German Facebook page (as per NeoGAF) and it’s certainly a small victory of sorts for the franchise. Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas were censored in the country after all so German fans will essentially be getting the same game as the rest of us.

Fallout 4 is set to release on November 10th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. It will feature a brand new setting and story with tons of new features to coincide with its massive open world (which the developer claims still offered new things to see even after 400 hours of playtime). Will you be picking it up? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below and stay tuned for more information.

Square Enix has thus far been doing a good job of regaining fan goodwill and their former status within the industry in this generation- they released the well received Final Fantasy Type 0 HD, they are open and transparent with the development of Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts 3, which should both hit by next year, Dragon Quest XI looks amazing, Star Ocean 5 is a revival everyone wanted, Nier 2 is a game that nobody dared to even hope for, and Bravely Second looks like a far better game than Bravely Default in every possible way.

Their quest to single handedly prop up Japanese game development will continue at TGS this year with what might be an unexpected, secret new game- in their teaser video for TGS, they indicated that they have a “secret” game that will be presented on stage on September 19th, at 12:30 local time.

As to what this game could be, who knows? Might it be something to do with that Chrono teaser that Square Enix had back at E3?

Whatever it is, we’ll find out during TGS next week. Stay tuned to GamingBolt.

CD Projekt RED recently announced the release date for Hearts of Stone, the first major expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt along with a new teaser trailer and screenshots.

It will be out on October 13th and along with revealing some new details about the expansion’s main story, the Runeword system and a hint of the trials Geralt will face, CD Projekt RED also announced a limited edition physical retail copy for Hearts of Stone that includes Gwent decks and card sets.

Those who want to buy the digital version and don’t want to invest in the Expansion Pass can rest easy – Hearts of Stone is available as a standalone purchase. In fact, if you head to GOGnow, you’ll be able to avail of a 15 percent discount off the $9.99 asking price, bringing it down to $8.49. That’s not a bad deal for an expansion that delivers more than 10 hours of content.

Will you be picking up Hearts of Stone when it releases this October? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

The new Apple TVis getting ready to take on your Xbox, PlayStation, and Wii as the gaming center of the living room. Apple already commands massive third party support, as well as cross platform development tools that make development for their platforms an attractive prospect, so the threat of the new Apple TV is not one to be taken lightly. Now, it seems like it will have another arrow in the quiver, which will help it undercut the existing consoles- it might come at a very cheap price.

Speaking to The New York Times, insiders reported that Apple is planning on keeping the price of the device low- at $149, it would be more than twice as expensive as the current, three year old model which retails for $69, but it would still be $150 cheaper than the Wii U, $200 cheaper than the Xbox One, and $250 cheaper than the PS4. With Apple’s branding on it, it poses a serious threat to all of them.

The Apple TV will be announced, alongside a new iPad and two new iPhones, at Apple’s media event tomorrow. Stay tuned for further news.

Hitman is launching as a digital only ‘early access’ sort of game, at least at first. In the weeks and months following its launch, more content will be released for the game for free, and when it is complete, the game will also launch at retail next year.

With such an unusual model, IO Interactive and Square Enix have a job on their hands of assuring fans that this game will be worth their time, and that it is not a new cynical scheme to extract more profits. So far, they have largely done a good job of that, though today, they may have taken their first major misstep- the price of the pre-order for the game has been raised by £5 to £44.99, at least on the PSN Store, reports VideoGamer.

It’s unclear why this was done, but it will make it harder for those who were on the fence about this title to part with their money. Bad move, I say.
